Crete's Great Pumpkin Festival

Hosted by the Crete Chamber of Commerce, Crete’s Great Pumpkin Festival takes place during the first full weekend of October, with the main event taking place on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This vibrant autumn celebration offers a full afternoon of family-friendly entertainment and delicious food for all ages. Visitors can bounce through a variety of inflatables, test their luck at classic carnival games, and get up close with friendly farm animals at the petting zoo. They can also browse the Pumpkin Festival Car Show & Shine, explore fire trucks and other law enforcement vehicles, and look for their favorite scarecrow in the Scarecrow Competition. Local artisans and vendors showcase unique handmade goods and fall decor at the craft show, while the high-energy pumpkin pie eating contest and pumpkin drop brings crowd-pleasing excitement to the day. With live entertainment and activities packed into every hour, it is the ultimate fall weekend destination for the whole family.
